- Build confidence or regain it
Build confidence by developing more consistent control of your voice.
For professionals, the loss of confidence can come from many years of improper vocal use that compounds as the singer ages.

The break or passaggio between the chest voice and falsetto can be especially discouraging for many singers.
In some cases it can be fixed in one lesson.
Many don’t understand how simple is to slowly wreck the voice. Strain develops slowly in many cases and can result in vocal fold surgery.
This is the most important vocal issue. This type of strain must be eliminated as soon as possible for there to be consistent vocal development.

I've been teaching full-time for over 26 years. My teacher, Mr Richard Aoyagi, who actually gave me the inspiration to teach began preparing me to teach under him. He became gravely ill during this time and sadly passed. Half of his students came to me for further training. I went from 15 students to 80 students within a few months.
My personal journey with singing did not come without its ups and downs. As a voice major at our local university I was told to switch to the dean of the voice department. Let's just say it was not a good match. My voice tightened up so much, even Mr Aoyagi and my freshman teacher, Clare Hamamoto could not fix it. It literally took years for me to figure out what had happened and to repair it. From this experience I vowed never to let that happen to a student.
I've developed my own style that stresses fast, noticeable results. And you learn while singing the songs you love. Any style. Any language.
My singing experience began with a stint in my teachers band. The majority of my singing experience came from performing in various local bands and musicals.
Winning a big local contest taught me a lot of competition preparation. I understand the pressures and disappointments that can come with competitive singing. This training requires what I call the psychology of performing.
I welcome questions as I believe that students who are curious learn the fastest. I welcome you to come and begin your musical journey with me or come to find your way back.
